Sounds and the Brain March 2011
As an early exercise in trying to connect sound with human physiology, this study was meant to record the reaction of one's brain waves with different types of audio inputs using an EEG machine. This information would then be overlaid with multiple subjects' data and played back in a circular pattern with the sampled music. In the images, the outer blue line displays the sound levels of the audio file and the blobs on the interior are a radial mapping of one channel of the EEG data [one color per subject].
